Sexual Dysfunction No Laughing Matter
Erectile dysfunction. Impotence. Lack of desire. Pain during intercourse. Premature ejaculation. Inability to reach orgasm. Frigidity. Pain on climax. Testicular Pain. Issues Involving Enlarged Prostate. Sex not fun?
- Sexual Dysfunction is defined as any problem occurring during any phase of the sexual response cycle that prevents the individual or couple from experiencing satisfaction from sexual activity.
- Can occur in both men and women.
- Can be a deal breaker in relationships.
How can hypnosis help?
Isn’t this a mechanical problem?
Firstly, lets understand that sexual function is an internal communication process involving:
- the senses – see, hear, smell, touch, taste
- the brain,
- nerves,
- muscles,
- blood vessels…
- and throw in a bunch of hormones and
- emotions
- and the obvious body parts (genetalia)
so, there’s a number of areas where problems could arise…
For a certain number of people, aging is a factor – it’s true that, as we age, hormone levels decrease which can affect our ability as well as our desire to perform sexually.
Also, sexual dysfunction can be a warning sign for something that needs your urgent attention like Diabetes, Heart Disease, Hypertension & Alcohol Abuse. It’s wise to check with a Doctor.
Wait! Before you spend a fortune on little blue pills…
Data shows that as many as 20% of men and around 40% of women sufferers, develop sexual dysfunction as a result of a stressful event in their life.
I’d like to suggest that the numbers are actually higher, based on the fact that so many people aren’t even aware of a particular event that might have set this off – so clever is our subconscious mind at trying to protect us from painful memories – it will hide them away for us.
The trouble is, the emotions experienced at the time remain, only we don’t really know what they are, but they will show up as… you guessed it… problems in the bedroom.
For example, a 22 yo male client who witnessed his older sister being abused as a child, had no conscious memory of that ever occurring, but in hypnosis he recalled her distress and in his child’s mind at the time, vowed he would never do, to anyone, the thing that made her so upset. He created erectile dysfunction in relationships as a result – so powerful was his conviction.
So how exactly does hypnosis work to help with this?
In hypnosis – which is a lovely, deep state of relaxation – we can discover what the original stressful event in a person’s life was – in a safe way – they don’t have to re-live it – they can review it from a distance for the purpose of understanding it and merely identify the emotions they were experiencing at the time – without actually having to re-experience them.
Then imagine we can change the meaning of that stressful event in that person’s mind, so that it no longer causes them distress – neutralise it, so to speak – whether it’s a childhood event or even stress at work interfering with relaxation at home…
Sounds simple?
Yes, it certainly can be – plus we can add a brand of intervention called Cell Command Therapy trademarked by Marisa Peer – where, in hypnosis we can program the mind to restore, recreate, and reactivate the sexual function of the body at an atomic and sub-atomic level.
How is Hypnosis Different?
For starters, you don’t have to take your clothes off to have treatment. Hypnosis is a completely non-invasive, all natural, drug-free, holistic therapy. With technology, you can have a session via video-call from the comfort of your own home. Private and professional services mean there’s less embarrassment while sitting around in clinics or waiting rooms.
